The Michael Carter Foundation now has its own wine! The
wine is called “One Less Label” and is now available for
sale.
Through the amazing generosity of Auburn Twin Oaks
Winery and its owners – Beth and Jay Schabel – we have
created a blend of Zinfandel with a touch of Malbec and
Carmenere to create a medium bodied wine. Auburn Twin
Oaks Winery brings the grapes in from the Suisun Valley
just Southeast of Napa - crushing and fermenting them
here in their Chagrin Falls winery, letting them age in
stainless for over two years to slowly mature using oak
chips to ensure we impart just the right amount of oak to

The owner - Jay Schabel explains this new wine:
The wine developed its name from an event held by the
Michael Carter Foundation in which over 75 people
working for non-profits in the field of children with Special
Needs, were brought together to better understand the
work of the Michael Carter Group. As a part of the
experience, the people were broken into teams of ten to
learn more about the winery and social/environmental
mission and then to work together to design and submit a
label. The winning label would be on a bottle of wine and
10% of the proceeds would go to the Michael Carter
Foundation to help special needs charities and families.
We felt it was very appropriate to chose the winning label
entitled “One Less Label” to put on our wine to signify the
many labels misapplied to the special needs community.
Thus our motto of “Open a Bottle, Open Your Mind, and
Enjoy One Less Label”.
The bottles are $20 each and make a great gift for the
holidays. Please email us from the "Contact Us" page if
